I've been thinking about Inertia.........

What's the difference between a stationary (not that there is such a state) cricket ball and a moving cricket ball ?

How does the moving cricket ball know it's moving and how does it know that it must continue to move ????

YIKES! This is one of THE questions isn't it? I think I will enjoy thinking about that... don't expect an answer though.

I think I have the answer.......

The resistance you feel when you move an object is you injecting energy into the system to create a dip in space/time for each particle of mass in the object.

The object then 'surfs' on the dip in space time and has no choice but to move..... this continues indefinitely until an external field reduces the depth of the dip.....

That is inertia.... any comments on this concept would be gratefully received.....

The dip (bent space/time) also makes the object contract..... the energy you add by creating the dip ... causes the mass of the object to increase.... energy is mass....

It feels so right !!!!!
